One of my pet research projects is the story of The Fool Killer, the mysterious submarine wreck that was found in the Chicago River in 1915. This week I found some new info on it for The Weird Chicago Blog, including a more detailed account of its discovery and a new "last known location!"
I think I'm going to go ahead and sign up for NaNoWriMo. My schedule never lined up with it before, and doesn't really line up with it this year, since I've already started the new project, but I do hope to finish the draft this month (in between copyediting the next book).
Here's my review of the Bob Dylan concert in Chicago this past weekend. I also helped my good friend Mike research some bakground stuff for his post on Dylan and D.W. Griffith over at White City Cinema.
